Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the most common questions clients ask before starting therapy. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please feel free to get in touch.
How long are the sessions?
Each session lasts 50 minutes and usually takes place once a week. Regular sessions help to build trust and continuity, allowing time between meetings for reflection and integration.
Where do sessions take place?
I offer therapy online and face-to-face in both Carterton and Oxford. Online sessions are held via a secure video platform, which many clients find flexible and convenient.
How much do sessions cost?
My standard fee is £50 per session. I offer a concession rate of £36 for students, NHS and other Blue Light workers, and senior adults.
How do I pay for sessions?
Sessions are paid for in advance by bank transfer.
How long will therapy last?
This varies depending on your needs and goals. Some people find that a short-term focus (around 6–12 sessions) is enough, while others prefer open-ended work to explore issues in greater depth. We can review your progress together at regular intervals.
What if I need to take a break from therapy?
Taking a break is sometimes part of the process. We can plan this together, ensuring a thoughtful pause or ending, so that you feel grounded and can return whenever you’re ready.
What if therapy feels difficult at times?
It’s natural for therapy to stir strong emotions or memories. This can be part of meaningful change. I’ll support you to move at your own pace, ensuring that our work remains safe, contained, and compassionate.
